the unsaid

the unsaid
by hardCore

i know this shorty, although he can’t drive
he’s well versed in them 65 mile per hour hip collisions
a product of a weak school system
and a father who never bothered to tell him bout the birds and the bees
drinking hennessy he learns about biology
and how fire in his urinary tract ain’t perfect chemistry
wrap it up, he kinda missed that ministry
pissing flames, he slowly starts to google his pain
steady ooching and ouching
wishing that he’d never done
what he did unprotected on his mother’s couch and
his mom starts approaching him
“baby you okay?”
thinking nope, he says yes, and deals with it
shorty’s on the ropes with it
fever rising by the minute
but visit, a clinic, he didn’t
the blood in his urine starts spraying
body screaming out for help
even though his young tongue can’t say it, the unsaid

just say it
just say it
just say it
just say it
the unsaid (repeat)

i know this lady with a short hair cut
she’s very pretty, though she dresses androgynous and don’t say much
her lifestyle is monogamous
always the fingers on her hand or a toy but never a man
isn’t sure if she’s gay or straight,
she feels crooked
….out of wack and just a bit different
tummy sickens during holiday visits
after greeting her mother
when her stepdad starts to hug her
an Oscar moment
she starts grinning
mind spinning thinking bout dumping the clip of a nine in him
as a child, she’d sit up on his lap so proud
one nap changed all that, and ever since then
she only smiles when she’s drunk off gin
not attracted to women, but totally repulsed by men
refused to crush mommy’s dreams
so she bit her tongue hard and keeps swallowing the truth that bleeds, the unsaid

just say it
just say it
just say it
just say it
the unsaid (repeat)

big Al
we talked, we drank, we shot the shit with the best of’em
but yo cuz, before you had died
wish i’d of got you off them foods that’s fried
and them cancer sticks
cause on the real, i miss laughing with you
so now I’m living like Surviorman
always boiled or baked
all steel no aluminum pans
all my produce is locally planted
my eggs are cage free
my meat is grass fed organic
i rarely eat after seven, when I do
it’s always light
even eased up off of the brews
one life to live, one life to lose
the life that’s long
is the life that's lived with rules
“see a doc man, ease up off the liquor and food
on the real cuz, you way too important to lose”
when u were here cuz i didn’t say it
now i live with those words in the back of my mind replaying, the unsaid
